Emmalee came home to live with us on Sunday.

Emmalee is learning to drink from a bottle. She's doing really good, but she eventually tires out and has to finish her feeding through the tube.

She gets to cuddle with Mama while she gets milk from the feeding tube.

Mama says my baby sister is coming sooner than expected. Her water broke yesterday and she is in the hospital unil baby sister comes. They will do a c-section on the 12th (34 weeks gestation) unless Mama goes into labor before then.

Nana and Poppie have come to take care of me. I'm having lots of fun with them!

Lots of people went in to get me a slide and swing for my birthday! Grandpops came to help put it together with Mama and Daddy.

I enjoyed eating lots of fruit and a small bite of cake. I'm not a big fan of cake.

Nana and Poppie got me this awsome trampoline! It's a lot of fun!

Uncle Doug and Aunt Allison gave me this cool InchWorm! I have to bounce up and down to make it go forward.

Mama and Daddy got me this cool bike; I haven't figured out how to use it yet.

I got clothes, books, crayons, chalk, a tool kit, and lots of other fun things to play with!

Today is my birthday. I am two years old! Mama fixed my biscuit donuts for breakfast and then I got to eat waffles for lunch outside. Then Mama lost her car keys at the mall so Daddy and I had to go get her. I got to play on the playground at the mall and ride in a dog and a helicopter!We ate supper at Chili's with Nonnie.

The only bad part of the day was that I had to go to the doctor and get a shot. It was not fun, but Mama took me to Sonic for french fries and apple juice afterward.

I get to have party on Saturday. Pictures to come!

San Antonio

Last week Mama and I flew on TWO airplanes to get to SanAntonio to see my Grandma and Grandpops. We also got to see Auntie Les, Auntie KK and Hunter, Noah, and GG Ruby.

We've been in Texas for over a month now. We moved into our new house a couple of weeks ago, but Mama hasn't taken any pictures of it yet.

I like to be sprayed by the water hose!

I get to eat a popcicle in the afternoon after my nap. And if it's really hot outside I get to swim in my pool, too.

My GrandPops came to see me and to see Daddy be commissioned.

Master of Texas

My Daddy graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary!

I got to play in the DeepEnd for the last time while the grown-ups went to the ceremony. I had lots of fun!

Then Mama, Nonnie and I flew to Texas on an airplane. I saw lots of clouds and lots of other airplanes too!

Cate and I reunited once I was in Texas again.

Now we are in Anson for my Nana's birthday. Micheal, Sarah, and I serenaded everyone on the piano.

Mama says we are moving to Texas soon. (17 days!) I guess I'll find out what that means when it happens. She says we are going to live in a BIG house and I will have a BIG room to sleep in and BIG living rooms to play in and a BIG backyard too! I guess everything IS bigger in Texas!

Mama was most excited to see this weinermobile! We saw it on the highway a couple of times then it just happened to come to the same gas station as us! That's a big hot dog!

I got a red balloon at chruch on Sunday. I had lots of fun letting it go and making an adult get up from the couch to get it for me.

I am in Idalou now with my Nonnie. I got more Christmas presents including a Chuck the Dump Truck which came with this cool hard hat and construction worker vest. I know what I am going to be next Halloween.

I also got this sit-and-spin I really like it because I like to turn in circles.

Since we've been in Texas, I've started saying some words. I say u-oh, please, thank you, diaper, bye bye, and juice. Mama and Daddy are very proud of me!

Yesterday we celebrated the birth of Jesus. We drove really slowly on the icy roads to my Nanny's house. We had a yummy lunch of hamburgers and french fries. Then Nanny opened all of her presents. I got a present, too.

I slept in special Christmas pjs.

Mama dressed me in this spiffy outfit.

Today I went over to my cousins' house and played with all their new toys.

I liked pushing cousin Sarah around in her car. (I may have sat in it myself, but you won't find any evidence of that.)

I also really liked Micheal's Radio Flyer rocket.

Then we came back to Nana and Poppie's house. I put on my new moose pjs (notice the moose feet!) and went to bed. I was really tuckered out!

Sorry it's been so long since I posted. We've been pretty busy around here. Well, I've been playing mostly and Mama and Daddy have been busy.

These leaves are from a Ginkgo tree. They were brought to Asbury Seminary by it's first president Henry Clay Morrison from his trip to China. That was over 80 years ago. Now they're a firm fixture on campus!

In hindsight I can look back on Halloween with fond memories.

I didn't like the hat Mama made for me...

so some adjustments were made and I was much happier.

I got to go to Main street and see lots of other kids dressed in cute and some ridiculous costumes.

I also celebrated the Texas Tech Red Raiders' win by doing this awesome dance to the music of the Goin' Band from Raiderland.

Sunday is a day of rest, so we always try to do restful things like driving around and looking at the beautiful autumn leaves or going to a park.

My toys are all organized in the living room now thanks to this handy shelving unit! When I first saw it I went over and just sat in front of it staring at it's beauty.

Singing is a new passion of mine. Mama or Daddy will sing one of my favorite songs such as the "ABC's" or the hippopotamus song and then I have a go at it while swaying my hips and bopping my head. Then it's their turn again!

And I've discovered that pieces of chicken make for good cars and my plate makes for a good race track.

Mama thought I was all better today so she took me for a long walk around town. We stopped to play on the grass at the college.

I'm not all better though. My sickness came back. :(

I'm not feeling well today. I threw up in the night in my crib but I didn't cry so Mama and Daddy didn't know until I woke up this morning with dried stuff all over me and my bed.

Mama and Daddy were supposed to go on a date tonight, but they will have to stay home with me. I'll like that.

I only want to take one nap a day now, so on Tuesdays and Thursdays while Joie is using my crib I fall asleep on Mama on the couch while reading books and listening to Jars of Clay.

Tuesday, Mama and I took a nasty spill down the stairs. I was really scared because we fell and then Mama was hurt and that really scared me. She's just bruised up a bit and is getting better. I didn't get hurt at all.

Reading books is one of my favorite things to do. Lately, I prefer that Daddy read them to me; in fact, I prefer Daddy over Mama at the moment. He's more fun. (Except when I fall down and hurt myself, then I want Mama.)

I get to play with Joie on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a few minutes. She sleeps most of the time she's at my house, but I always am glad she's here. I like to show her how to use my toys.

On Mondays and Thursdays, I get to go to the DeepEnd childcare area at Daddy's school for a couple of hours. I have lots of fun with the workers and other kids. We play games and eat snacks.

Here I am with Mama. The last few days it's been raining all day. so I haven't gotten to play outside very much. I'm ready for the sun to start shining again.

Home Again

We are finally back in Kentucky after 2 and a half weeks of Texas. It was really, really hot there. But I had a lot of fun. I got to see all my friends and family. And I rode on an airplane again. Mama and I flew all by ourselves down there and Daddy met up with us later.

I went to see my Nonnie in Idalou and all my family and friends who live there. I even got to see Cate! Mama forgot her camera that day so there aren't any pictures. I smiled at her and held her hand! I also got to see Miss Annie and my friends from Seagraves.

Then Mama drove us back down to San Antonio. I met my Auntie KK at the airport and then my Auntie Leslee and cousins Hunter and Noah came and my Grandma and Grandpops and GG Ruby were there! I got to go miniature golfing. I liked to put the colorful balls in the hole. Mama and Daddy got to go to Schlitterbaun without me. They said I can't go til I'm older.

Then we all drove up to Anson to see Grandpa and Jammy. And Uncle Doug, Aunt Allison, Cousins Micheal and Sarah. I got to play on a huge playground with Micheal!

Then we flew back to Wilmore and here we are!

Mama made me a confetti cake with confetti icing. She says it was her favorite when she was young.

Everyone I know keeps saying Happy Birthday to me today and singing me a song. I don't really know what they mean, but I do know that Mama made me a cake yesterday and we are going to have my favorite: hotdogs tonight.

This weeked we celebrated lots of things. Friday was Mama's birthday and we got to go out to eat at Abuelo's. But my bean and meat barrito made my tummy hurt.

Then Saturday we got to go to a parade for Independence Day! There were lots of loud sirens and big fire trucks! And I saw lots of old tracktors and a lawn mower brigade!

Whoa!

Then Sunday was my Nonnie's birthday! Happy Birthday Nonnie! It rained all day so we didn't get to go anywhere, but I got to play outside in my rain coat! I liked it except I didn't want to keep the hood on my head but Mama said I had to.

Today is my Great Grandma's birthday. Happy Birthday!

County Roads

We've vistited quite a few places in the past few days.

Here I am all snuggled up with Daddy at home.

Mama and I stood in front of a really big "orange" tree. It didn't produce oranges, but it had orange bark.

And here I am on a cannon! We went to Fort Harrod in Harrodsburg. It was the first settlement in KY. Today we went to Fort Boone the more famous of the settlements (but not the first.) It was a lot nicer than Fort Harrod because it was really close to the KY River. We don't have any pictures of it because I like to play with the camera and ran the battery down.

Today, we also went to a Civil War Fort. It was really just a couple of mounds of "earthwork" as they call them but it was a nice hike.

We also tried to go to another Boone place but it turned out to be a dud. Oh well, you win some you lose some.

Our New Crib

Our Dining room is the front room on the bottom floor.
Followed by the kitchen (This is actually a view from the living room, so if you were walking through you would enter by the picture on the wall from the dining room)

Then the living room

More of the living room. You can see the door to the stairwell that was added to the back of the appartment building. This has turned out to be nice because there is lots of storage under the stairs for all our boxes, tools, etc.

Upstairs is my room (right above the dining room)

If you look closly you can see me asleep in my crib for my afternoon nap. My GG is getting me a pirate rug for my room! ARRR! BTW if anyone should see a "My other car is a pirate ship" bumper sticker, I need one for my stroller.

From my room you go through a hall (that used to be a kitchen when it was two seperate appartments on top of eachother) with a closet and shelves.

Mama and Daddy's room is upstairs, too. Directly above the living room.

They share a room with the office. Again, here you can see the door to the stair well.

That is our humble abode. It's the perfect size for the three of us. Not too big, not too small. Most of the other families living here have more than one child, so it's probably pretty crowded for them. We actually live where all of the foreign students live, so we are surrounded by people of different cultures. Namely Korean, Indian, and African that we know of so far.

We went to Boyd Orchards and picked yummy raspberries. Here I am standing by a grape vine. We can go pick our own grapes when they get done growing! Mama made yummy muffins and Daddy made yummy jam out of the fruits of their labor. We are going to go back again soon!

I'm Back

I'm officially a Texan misplaced in Kentucky. We got here and got all of our stuff moved in (thanks to Daddy, Grandad, Jammy, and Uncle Daryl) and set up/organized (thanks to Nonnie). All of my stuff is here, but it's not the same as it was, so I'm a little confused.

Sorry i't been so long. Mama has been really busy with me. I started really crawling on Wednesday last week while I was at day care. Now there are no limits to where I can go!!! (Except for the baby gates and Mama and Daddy saying no) I also am also a pro at pulling up! I can do it almost anywhere. I especially like to do it while I'm supposed to be taking a nap in my crib. Mama's afraid I will fall out or fall over and bump my head, so she comes and gets me.

Some sad news, I have my first ever ear infection (a double at that), so I haven't been feeling or sleeping well.

Dustin and I just got home from Anson, and Sam didn't sleep on the way home. So I fed Sam and put him in his crib for a nap. About 15 minutes later we hear screaming coming from his room

(He has started doing this when he gets excited.) This is what Dustin found when he walked into Sam's room.

Lazy Days

We stayed in our PJs all day today! It was great! Mama and Daddy took down my swing cause I'm a big boy, so I don't need it anymore. I got to see my Auntie Karen on Skype today and I got to see and talk to my Grandpops yesterday on it! It's really cool to see my family that live so far away.

Here I am looking out the back door at my puppy, Isabella.

My bald spot is starting to grow back because I've been sitting up all by myself for a long time and now I can stand all by myself if I'm holding on to something.

A note from Mama: The other day, I stood him up on his changing table so I could pull his pants up and he put his hands against the wall and spred his legs and was standing there like I was going to pat him down. I love Mama!

I like sweet potatoes!! Mama was starting to get worried that I wasn't eating my veggies, but she just hadn't given me any that I liked. Next she is going to try butternut squash.

I'm trying to crawl but I can't get my bum off the ground. Maybe in a couple of weeks I'll be stronger.

P.S. I have a mean Mama. She won't come get me in the middle of the night when I wake up anymore. I just have to cry til I fall asleep again. :(
