In hindsight I can look back on Halloween with fond memories.
I didn't like the hat Mama made for me...
so some adjustments were made and I was much happier.
I got to go to Main street and see lots of other kids dressed in cute and some ridiculous costumes.
I also celebrated the Texas Tech Red Raiders' win by doing this awesome dance to the music of the Goin' Band from Raiderland.

That's the most awesome pirate hat ever, Ash. But given Sam's (and just about every other toddler's) preference for wearing nothing over wearing something, I can understand Sam's chagrin at having to put on such a foreign headgear specimen. It was probably making his head hot. And that can do crazy things to a fella.
