I heart Mama

Here is a picture of me in my favorite t-shirt!

Also, I really like the book Auntie Karen gave me. It makes lots of crinkly noises and has corners for me to chew on!

Good Grief Charlie Brown

I went to my first Halloween Carnival tonight. Mama and Daddy put me in a Charlie Brown outfit and my snoopy doll and I took lots of pictures together. At church this morning I did a little number all over Mama's skirt! She was pretty grossed out, but she took care of me.

Here I am with Mama and Ainslee (she was in Mama and Daddy's wedding)

Too Cute!

Oopsie!

We went to Anson to see Jammy and Grandad this weekend. Mama took to camera but forgot the memory card! (Again!) So there aren't any pictures:( Tomorrow I get to go to my first ever Halloween party!! Mama will definantly post pictures of that!

So here's a picture of me and Daddy when I was only 3 weeks old. Mama says I don't even look the same as I did then!

3 Months Old

I'm three months old today! I've grown a lot in 3 months, from 9 lbs to about 17 lbs, 22 inches to 25 or 26 inches, and I'm very alert and like to play now. In the beginning I just liked to sleep and eat.

Auntie Karen sent me lots of clothes and some toys. I really like them. Thanks Auntie Karen!!

Eugoogalizer

Whoa! There's a camera in my face!
I'm a Calvin Klein model! I call this face Steel. It's the same as all my other model faces. (That's a subtle reference to Zoolander for those of you who didn't get that. Heck, I don't even get it.)

Today I met David and Lori Persons. They are missionaries from The Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa. Mama and Daddy went to meet them in Africa before I was born. They were so happy to meet me and said all the women at Mulumgwishi were so happy that I was going to be born that they hooped and hollered! Maybe if I ask nicely, Mama will demonstrate for me.

Please pray that God will continue to provide for them and all of the Africans living at the station as food prices and gas prices continue to climb and it's hard to provide for everyone living there. Here I am with them!

Sleep

A couple of weeks ago, I decided it was time for me to sleep through the night. All of this waking up at 3 in the morning just wasn't cutting it for me anymore. So now I like to wake up between 6 and 8. That means I usually sleep 7 to 8 hours (sometimes even 9 or 10 hours). Now when Mama gets me out of bed she says, "Good Morning, Love!" instead of just pulling me out of my crib without saying anything and falling asleep while she feeds me. I like it better when she talks to me and stays awake.

I have lots of new clothes now (well, they are new to me anyway). Uncle Doug and Aunt Allison brought me a bunch of Cousin Micheal's clothes 'cause I was outgrowing all of my others. Now I wear 6 to 9 month clothes and even some 12 month.

Here I am with John (Wesley or Calvin whichever you prefer). My bear from Germany is named Martin and he taught me all about the Protestant Reformation.

Forgot One and Group Pictures

Baptism

I was baptised today and I was not very happy about it. I had finally fallen asleep then Daddy poored water on my head and moved me around. That woke me up. I don't like to be woken up.

Mama and Daddy and all of our family seemed to enjoy it though. They were happy.

Sleepyhead

Mama just took this picture of me. She thinks it's really cute. I just layed on the floor and fell asleep all by myself without a pacifier or someone rocking me or getting fussy. I'm a good baby!

Weekend Festivities

We are going to have a busy weekend. Mama says that my Jammy and Grandad are coming with Uncle Daryl. Also my Uncle Doug and Aunt Allison and cousin Micheal are coming to see me. Mama says I'm going to be baptized on Sunday.I even saw her take out a little suit for me. It's pinstriped with a tie and everything, just like Daddy's.

Here I am sleeping just a few minutes ago. This is the face I make when I am trying to wake up.

Right Now

Right now I'm chewing on my fist (and doing something else that we won't talk about.) Mama tried to give me a pacifier, but only my fist will do!

Eariler today I chewed on my teddy bear Auntie Karen gave me! Du Fehlst Mir, too!

Nonnie's House

Sam went to his first family gathering at G.G.'s house last weekend. I don't have any pictures of that because I took the camera, but the card was not in it! These sort of things are happening a lot lately. It's called Momnesia. But here are some pictures from Saturday at Nonnie's house where we went to watch Tech beat up on K. State!

He sleeps everywhere he goes!

Cloth Bum

We cover Sam's bum in cloth diapers. Not only is this more environmentally friendly, it's also more friendly to our pocketbooks. He wears fancy diapers called BumGenious 3.0. They button to change sizes so he should be able to wear them until he's potty trained! (But as our friend Cory said, "They didn't count on him being the Jolly Green Giant.") Even if they only last 1 year because of size or wearing out, we still only spent $400 on diapers which is much less than if he was in disposables. They are holding up really well so far and I think they will last at least until he outgrows them, and we can use them for the next little one as well. We are very pleased with our cloth diapering experience and recomend it to everyone!

He actually got his picture taken with Mama for a change. If you only went by pictures you'd think I never hold him!
